Skinwolves

Lord Jagi and his brother Raou have 3 new warriors for their warband.
The Werewolf conversions were intended for use in a fantasy undead
army that sold to an American collector long before the add on
werewolf project was completed.

For 3 years the werewolves sat in my cabinet without any paint..
until Age of Sigmar and my decision to start a Khorne mortal army.
I rebased them on to rounds and using the Forgeworld rules for chaos
skinwolves they make a cool addition to the growing collection.

Lord Jagi, Exalted Deathbringer

Making some progress on this 'hero' for Age of Sigmar

Head swapped the demon head for this splendid resin helm.
Worthy of a Lord of the Wastelands.

Inquisimunda Dark Mechanicus

Kitbash fun for an upcoming Inquisimunda campaign with my mates this summer.
I took the plunge and started making *something*.
Here's my first three models.

They are really good fun to create and paint, you can add a lot of details and character to each of them, mess around with grime and rust and other gothic grimdark stuff!
I'll do some more in between the Khorne Daemonkin project and commission work that never seems to end..

WIP 40K Khorne Daemonkin Bloodletters & Bloodthirster 'Big Red'

Time to start some updates after a long hiatus. I make no apologies,
life has been VERY busy, and over time passwords can be tricky to recall ;p
So here are some shaky phonecam shots of my latest project;

Starting off a 40K Daemonkin Army of Khorne.

Here's the work in progress of some bloodletters (in the early stages of  me wondering what the hell I was doing) and some dodgy photos of Big Red, my 'thirster. There's been a lot of airbrushing, glazing, highlighting and trying to keep it poppin' but smooth on the fleshy daemon tones.
Better pics will follow (fingers crossed)

Back soon with more stuff

Tzeentch Chimera - Gaming Standard

Here is a Warhammer monster I banged out in a night for my good friend who is manager at the local GW store. Lots of fun, was allowed to go colour crazy and only did one lil conversion, added the horns on the middle dragon head....because you can never have enough spikey bits on a chaos critter!

It's gaming standard paintwork for the current store battle campaign. I hope he likes it!

Moar stuff soon!

Three Killers

A hiatus during the new year from blogging..but not gaming and painting! So what has this citizen been doing?
Getting older officially!

Lately I have been cracking on with some new projects and adding to existing ones. I am at that stage where I am trying to balance the juggling of doing friends minis and my own personal collection, not always an easy task when it is all scheduled during just my 'hobby time'.
Lots of Super Dungeon Explore on saturdays is also to blame!

Recently I have painted some daemons for a good friend, but more on them in another update (and I still don't have pics of them..).

Adding some more units to my Vampire Counts army has been a priority of late, mainly because at the beginning of April, my local GW store is running a new WHFB campaign. Eager to get some of my undead horde blooded and hone tactics! Also more chaos heros for my gaming friends to come soon, and also a little Infinity - Some Pan-O troops and mecha in a very updated 'Nam 68 vibe, man. Groovy!
So here are a few shots of what I have been up to..

These are the Fell-Hags (bats) for my Vampire Counts.

I made them from GW Daemonette heads, Ghoul bodies,
Dark Eldar scourge wings and the morbid but cool lil
gravestones are from Renedra plastics.

On the same theme of Three Killers, here's a triumvirate of WIP..

The green mech on the left is part of a promise for
a very good friend and Infinity maniac.
The red Khornate hero is for another friend and
part of a larger chaos force, with daemons in the mix.
The Vampire Countess is for my own Warhammer army.

And a slightly closer look at the lady of the night..
Countess Theresa Von Ravenstein.

Fixing her atop a way marker, she is a simple conversion,
again using Dark Eldar Scourge wings. Still a long way to
go but she will hopefully make a nice eyecatching hero.

More soon..
